The SOS Children’s Villages are an independent, non-governmental and non-denominational children’s rights organization that is active worldwide and has set itself the task of accompanying abandoned and needy children into a better future. SOS Children’s Villages supports children and families in need, enables children to attend school and receive training, offers health care for families and children and demands children’s rights around the world. The organization is also committed to climate protection and child protection and provides humanitarian work in more than 130 countries.
UNO-Flüchtlingshilfe
UNO-Flüchtlingshilfe is the German partner of the UNHCR—the UN Refugee Agency—and supports people who have been forced to flee from war, persecution, or disasters. It raises donations in Germany, uses these funds to finance UNHCR relief operations worldwide, and helps ensure that refugees gain access to protection, shelter, medical care, education, and other vital support services. Furthermore, it educates the public about displacement and refugee issues and advocates for the rights and social inclusion of refugees.
UNICEF
UNICEF is the United Nations children’s fund and advocates for the rights, protection and well-being of children worldwide. The organization supports children and their families with, among other things, health care, education, clean drinking water, nutritional assistance and protection from violence, exploitation and discrimination. UNICEF provides rapid emergency aid, particularly in crisis and disaster areas, and works long-term to sustainably improve the living conditions of children.
